Badsicle

Badsicle /bad-si-kuhl/ is a whimsical take on movement, challenging the notion of perfection associated with traditional character popsicles. When you’re a child choosing a character popsicle from the side of an ice cream truck, you anticipate perfection. Your expectations are quickly shattered when you open the package only to see it looks nothing like what you expected.
This installation features six oversized character popsicle sculptures where imperfections become a deliberate artistic choice. Eyes may be misplaced, mouths off-centre, discoloured frostbitten areas and forms intentionally distorted. This departure from perfection invites viewers to reconsider their perception, creating a dynamic dialogue between the shapes of sculptures and the playful chaos within.
